SNIPE: Ms. Snip is off on vacation so I’ll just share some random thoughts about elected officials, tv commentators, state legislatures, salaries.
If it weren’t so sad it would be laughable. A Western State enacts a ‘law’ that went on the books before the state was a state. What was it? A territory law? One thing is certain, back then (and again now) it ignores at least one-half of the population. Of course women were not able to vote then, so looks like it started as old white men ruling then and now. Term Limits!!
So sad too that all the people so intent on birth rates. Women are losing their health and lives because of some of the short-sighted rulings. Check it out, mortality of pregnant women has risen since Dobbs. And, too bad that children’s lives aren’t seen as important later on. Guns are the number one cause of childhood mortality. Guess who doesn’t want gun legislation. Hmmm
Then you have the dummy congress person who wanted to point out to President Biden that Africa was a country. That Republican legislator doesn’t seem to know the difference between a country and a continent. Hope that person isn’t on any of the foreign relations committees. PS. Biden knows the difference.
In a recent hearing on Capitol Hill the blond mouth was heard telling a homeland security official that there were tweets which contained relevant information, it was public knowledge he should be aware of. When the official said that reading tweets was not a regular activity of his, the mouth said they were her tweets and they were public knowledge. I think public ‘fowledge’ would be a better description. Wow, I like my new word. Seems to fit those talking mouths which spew misinformation and lies.
Then there is a commentator on that channel which promotes sex offenders and liars. This particular mouth was upset that fast food workers in California were going to be paid $20 per hour. He asks – doesn’t that make them earning 6 figures annually? When told no, nowhere near 6 figures he wasn’t smart enough to stop there. What if they have a spouse that also works in fast food. They are each getting $20 per hour. That’s six figures, right? When told no again he simply blustered. I have a feeling that idiot is making 6 figures spouting his ignorance on that channel. I think maybe HE is the one who is paid too much.
Wait, could he be the same one who took a ruling of a NY judge and completely changed it? The judge ruled that a trip to a graduation ceremony by a defendant would depend on the timing and status of the trial. Orange interpretation was that the judge said he couldn’t go. The commentator took it a step further saying that defendant was not being allowed to go and would end up in jail if he tried. WOW. How much are they paying him? And, hmmm, who is paying him?
Hey Missouri, one of your senators says the country is awful with bad roads, bad bridges, infrastructure falling apart. Oh, he forget to mention that he voted against the infrastructure bill addressing those needs. Hmmm
Orange man says our President Biden can’t put two sentences together. How often do the orange man’s collections of words form even one sentence? Not sure? Check out his diatribe on the Battle of Gettysburg.
I am overweight. My doctor says I am eating too many carbs. Solution – more carbs. ???
School shootings are too frequent. Tennessee says too many shooters in schools. Their solution – arm the teachers, more guns in schools. ???
Ad on that channel – a book encouraging parents NOT to send their children to college. Hmmm. An under-educated population, easier to control.
Speaking of which – sounds like courses in logic have not been a part of higher education for a quite a while. Wonder if it appears in the transcripts of any SC judges. Really? Dear Judge, I suggest you read the transcripts of recent hearings. Constitution ignored, common sense and clear thinking seem to be absent from several arguments. There is nothing in the Constitution (nor in common sense) that would immunize anyone from prosecution when criminal laws have been broken. Not me, not you, and certainly not someone who, though once an office holder, has never received the majority of the popular vote. Hmmm.
Personal opinion appears to have taken over the opinions of the SC nine. Refusing to remove oneself in relevant cases by certain members of the court makes me question the trust in decisions. “Yes, my spouse was involved however, I was off on a high dollar vacation paid for by business people with other business before the court so my spouse and I didn’t discuss the incident.” Sure, and I have a bridge to sell you.
The newest status for members of a certain political group seems to be, indictment. If you’ve been indicted for attempting to overturn an election, you must be right for the ethics segment of the party. Hmmm.
Love the crybaby’s requests for money. Tell me how you can brag about the value of your many properties and then ask others for money.
Gosh, to think that juries have found a defendant guilty, judges have determined guilt, grand juries have found evidence sufficient to recommend 90+ indictments. 60+ previous cases brought by that party were decided by judges appointed by the subject’s own party as without merit. What kind of chutzpah says, “Those are all a witch hunt, I did nothing wrong. Poor me. Boo Hoo.”
